7L and Esoteric is a hip hop band that was founded in Boston in 1992. The band released a number of successful albums, as well as singles. 7L and Esoteric's debut album that was released in 2001: "The Soul Purpose" earned them large critical appraisal and a "Boston Music Award" for the Best Hip-Hop Album.
