New York’s own Everlast first appeared under the hip hop radar in Los Angeles, part of Ice T’s Rhyme Syndicate Cartel. His debut solo album did not succeed, and so Everlast formed House of Pain. The three musicians, Everlast, Danny Boy and DJ Lethal developed their image as aggressive Irish-American rappers before disbanding in 1996 and setting the stage once again for Everlast to launch a solo career, this time more successful indeed.
